we shared a common door with the room next door (954 was our room #). First of all, the design of the new building is flawed. This time though was a complete let down. I've stayed at the RiverRock (original building) twice and loved it both times. We booked through a 3rd party/ don't know what hotel until you pay for it site. Good thing the rooms are somewhat sound proof, since the airport is just across the water and planes come in low all night long. I liked the River Rock better before they upgraded it. The free buffet breakfast was okay, and we were asked to move from the table we had chosen, being told that section was closed (was not marked as closed). The casino was nothing special much like the one we have at home. The room was nice, but the bathroom had a terrible 'mildew' smell not impressive for a $200.00+ room. We finally found the hotel, and our room. We ended up walking through the casino with our luggage in tow. When we finally did check-in, we had to park in the parkade and walk with our luggage from the cold outside to try and find the entrance to the hotel. We had to ask the parking concierge where the front desk was and where we could park it was very confusing. It as dark when we arrived, and we had a terrible time trying to find a place to park so we could 'check-in'. Since we were last at this hotel, it has changed a lot and not for the better.
