The 'Eatery' on the main floor offered nothing but coffee and tea and was only open during a short time frame. There were no amenities in the room other than a bar sized fridge. One agent allowed me access to coffee in the main floor coffee room during off-hours. The front desk staff was helpful, to a point. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. The booking was through an online provider My wife and I booked a weekend stay at the hotel to attend a family event in Port Perry. One has to venture back into Port Perry (some ten Kilometres away) to find shops restaurants etc. The scenery at this far end of the island are spectacular and quiet, however the only other venue of interest other than the casino is a Timmies across the street. Curiously, there is no glassware to be found and the front desk reminded us that the styrofoam cups were complimentary. One of the two elevators was not in service during our stay thus trips to the car from the fourth floor took awhile. but sound seems to be an issue as one can hear every other guest walking down the hallway. Room was spotless and well stocked with towels etc.

Our room was a nice size with all expected amenities including large screen TV, deep soaker tub, hair dryer, safe and warm comfy beds and pillows. Staff members inside the casino and hotel are very friendly however and the long walk outside to get to the hotel makes it less freezing during winter. The noodle bar and buffet have been replaced by smaller venues with a limited offering of menu items that neither excite nor inspire a couple to stay for a special dinner. The table action at GBH is not what it used to be….roulette players had up to seven live tables to choose from pre-Covid.

We enjoyed a complementary room at the hotel via points for game play inside the casino.
